How do I figure out the codec?

I’m pretty sure they are just a quicktime file.

I’m having trouble importing .mov files into FCP.

The camera automatically uploaded the files as .mov and I get an error message when trying to log and transfer them.

The frame rates dont match up and the clips play slow.

Any suggestions?
