I think that goes along with the “real-time resizing (and re-positioning)” wish that we’ve all had for so, so, so long.

There is still no real-time way to output a 16×9 SD program to 4×3 letterbox… right?

I would think the hardware (if not the software) should be able to handle that by now.

I left out the ALT… Select from here is: ALT-COMMAND-H That’s what you want.

You don’t want “select here in track“… you want “Select from here”. Command-H.

That will select EVERYTHING to the right of your CTI. You can drag it all over in sync.

How serious is this trimming issue? I’m about a week away from setting up M100HD. Random crashes while trimming in the timeline seems like a pretty major issue.

Was this fixed in 10.1.1 by anychance?

You know… I don’t know if this will work, but you MIGHT be able to use your G4 as a “capture station” only. You would just do all your digitizing from here.

Then, you put the software only version on your G5, and use it to edit. You might have to manually switch your scsi drives (or figure out your specific storage issues), but then you could still get the best of both worlds…

Lossless on the G5… no expansion chasis.

    …just a thought.

Yes, this is a full BETA version of Media 100 HD editing software (from what I understand).

You will be able to put this on any Mac (that can handle it) and edit. I would assume you could hook a firewire drive with a media folder on it and just edit away.
