December 1, 2015 at 5:56 pm in reply to: Workflow process for keying: Motion 5, FCPX, Resolve 12OK, I’ll check out the current keyer in FCPX. I haven’t used it for quite some time, but the last time I did it lacked some controls that I am using in Motion 5 that significantly improve the result. Maybe these controls have been added to the FCPX keyer in recent updates.
Thanks.

This is for Mountain Lion. For other situations, look here:

January 31, 2013 at 5:07 am in reply to: Anybody successfully updated CUDA driver on Mountain Lion with GTX 570 card?My problem was that I got on the wrong path and was trying to install CUDA Developer Tools, not just the drivers. My fault.
I am running Mountain Lion and once I downloaded the latest (1) NVIDIA driver and (2) CUDA driver, these installed without a problem. You need both.
I am not familiar with the problem you mentioned, sorry.

The Terminal commands are a limited number and are easy to remove…..I am fairly familiar with Unix commands.
Xcode installation causes no problem, and I can remove it.
So, I can handle w/o clean install. Thanks again for your help.
I obviously got down the wrong path, and you guys are the only ones to put me on the right path.
Yes, really amazing that someone at Apple forum couldn’t help…….I won’t be going back. Thanks again!

So, could you please tell me exactly what you did?
Did you just download and install the CUDA Toolkit?
How did you verify that you were successful? Thanks again for your help!

I am going through it because I am following the NVIDIA Guide:
https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-getting-started-guide-for-mac-os-x/index.htmlThe guide says it is for version 10.7 and later.
The Guide is wrong? -

It would dazzle me if Resolve does all the steps needed to install a CUDA update. For example, Mountain Lion doesn’t include gcc (unlike prior versions), so you have to download and install Xcode. Then you have to go to Xcode Preferences and download and install Command Line Tools (which includes gcc). Then, you have to verify gcc is successfully installed, all before you even start downloading and installing the latest CUDA driver. You also have to create a ~/.bash_profile file (which Mountain Lion no longer has), then add two Terminal (Unix) commands (to define the environment) in the new file. These last steps require Administrator permission. You know much better than I do, but it is a very involved process (which I detail in my Apple Discussion post). At least this is the case if I can believe the NVIDIA Guide I am following:
https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-getting-started-guide-for-mac-os-x/index.htmlMaybe the answer is that the NVIDIA Guide is simply out-of-date, and the process is much simpler under Mountain Lion. If so, the guys at the Apple forum are asleep at the wheel.
Man, this shouldn’t be complicated.Anyway, there has to be a solution. If in fact Resolve is handling all this, we all owe their tech guys a huge thank you.

So you are saying that the NVIDIA drivers are built-in, but not the CUDA driver? If you have time, please look at my last post in my thread at Apple Discussion:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4731106
I list every single step I took in trying to update the CUDA driver.
Maybe you can spot something that looks wrong to you, since you have done this successful. I am not getting much help over there.FYI, I followed this NVIDIA Guide:
