Hmm. That’s weird. No clue if this will work, but try matchframing the video that’s giving you trouble and cut it back in. Maybe there’s a corruption somewhere in the media on your timeline (but hopefully not the source file).

Above your record monitor, do you have your top timecode set to display the timecode of V1? It needs to be to punch timecode in directly. Check to see if it’s been changed.

If your system is able to run Media Composer 4 with an Adrenaline hooked to it, you can use Adrenaline for it. The mix and max frame rate functionality isn’t dependent on hardware–it’s all software. So you could run Media Composer software and still accomplish what you’re wanting to do.
What are your system specs? PC or Mac? Model number of computer? That will likely determine whether your system can still run Adrenaline with MC4.0.

Open your Console and type “alldrives” (without the quotation marks) then hit Enter. Check to see if your SAN is available then.

The desktop is no good. Your media must go in the root of your drive, like this:
C:\Avid MediaFiles\MXF\1\media here
Now I wouldn’t suggest using the C: drive since that’s your system drive, but if it’s all you have then you’ll have to.
Just shut down Avid, put your media in the root of your media or system drive in the file path I typed above, and relaunch Avid. It should automatically find and relink everything.

For Media Composer 3.x and upwards you can map Select to Right, Select to Left, and Select In to Out to your keyboard. Check your command palette if you’re on MC 3.x or 4.x and you’ll find it.
To mark every segment on a track, mark and In and Out on the whole track and use Select In to Out, or set your playhead at the start and use Select Right, or at the end and use Select Left.

Are you in an HD project? Mojo SDI only outputs SD. There’s no way to feed HDSDI out of it.
If you’re in an HD project, switch to the comparable SD project (if there is one) then try to output to your standard def SDI input or component input on your monitor. That’s really your only monitoring option when working with HD and an SDI Mojo. Realtime downconvert from an SD project.

Don’t use segment mode. Instead use Mark Clip (default is T), then lift it out or cut it out. Two keystrokes and you don’t need the mouse.

Just copy the entire media folder from the root of one drive to the root of the other. For example:
Copy C:\Avid MediaFiles to M:\Avid MediaFiles
When you relaunch Avid it will find the new media and relink to your project. Edit away.

I never considered that. Sounds like a cheap LCD would be the way to go then.
