    I could not agree more.

I have tried for two days to get my Decklink HD Pro to capture on a Win XP machine.

    No way.

As you say, on the BlackMagic website it says you just set the capture to be 1080i/50 and it will work. see, as you say, :https://www.blackmagic-design.com/support/detail.asp?techID=107

    In which they say:
“Does DeckLink HD support HDTV1080p/25 in Final Cut Pro?
We deliberately do not include a 1080p 25Hz easy setup although it would be easy to do as the card is programmable. Most people use 1080i/50 with both interlaced and progressive video. There is a 1080p 25Hz format but it’s incredibly rare and we haven’t had many requests for it. We haven’t included a 1080p easy setup for 25Hz as it would cause confusion and DeckLink users would then use the wrong easy setup in many cases. We could add 1080p 25Hz support in a heart beat if required.”

It does not work – setting 1080i/50 still captures interlaced frames. Believe me, I’ve tried everything. It simply does not work.

BMD think 1080p/25 is very rare! We and the rest of Europe use it!!!!!!! Please BMD, will you add 1080p/25?
