I have this problem all the time with projects that are newly created in CC. And they only have 1 audio track, a VO. I don’t see how creating a new track in a new project and moving the VO to the new track is going to change matters, but I’ll give it a shot!

Same problem here. Are we the only two people with this issue?
I’ve taken to exporting an audio stripe of my entire project before trimming. Then when I have to reload a project I dump this on a new track and disregard the old audio track (now blank!)
It works, but what a pain!
