I would like to have an external RAID, but not sure if we can support it cost-wise. If I can, I’ll sneak a CalDigit into the budget. Is there an important reason to go with a RAID 5 rather than a 10, other than tying up less drives for parity? I was under the impression that RAID 10 should have significantly better performance, though I might be wrong.
Didn’t know about the Quadro 4000; I will definitely keep that in mind if it is released soon.
