I’m still relatively new to the possibilities of premiere and ae. My filmic look is simply based on placing a film grain overlay over footage. However, I have experimented with denoising in ae then adding the film overlay then exporting as prores 444. Looked the same and I lost all my sound haha, but when I went to color correct I had a bit more place to move.
I’m hoping that the prores will work with premiere and ae in the two above mentioned techniques.
I use magic bullet to color correct and grade. The Lumetri would have saved me money haha.
I haven’t tried speedgrad. Is that in the premiere or is that a plug in?
I know it’s funny to debate prores vs h.264 when I don’t fully understand everything, however, I hate rebuying the same thing when I learn more. Best to spend a little extra now then redo it all later.

Are commercials usually just about in 29.97 then?

Interlaced in reference to progressive I understand. Well, I know where to find it. The station wanted progressive so I kept the adjustments that way. I will try interlaced and see what happens.

I used a canon 5d mark ii with the video set to 23.97 (24).
I don’t know what interlaced means. Is that an expert setting or how I should have recorded the footage?
The voices seems consistently off. I think is the extras frames that create that odd effect.
I saw something called frame blending. Not sure if that’s an option I should use or just shoot the next one in 29.97. I’d prefer not to though. Not a huge fan of that.
