Same happens to me.

In my Quad, NVIDIA GT 7800, OSX 10.4.4, when I open the Invigorator Set-Up window I can’t see anything unless I click Test. If I make a change of texture or anything the image disappears again until I click Test.
I also downloaded a ProAnimator demo and happens the same again.

I tried with Invigorator 4.0.6, AE 6.5 and 7.0 and ProAnimator Standalone with no avail. Also messed with render prefs without any change.

But using it in my old Powermac G4 1.42 Dual, OSX 10.4.4 and AE 7.0 it works fine.
