Mauricio Domingues aka "Mau", is a Brazilian visual artist and animator born in São Paulo in 1984. He graduated from FAAP University in São Paulo in 2006 with a BFA in Industrial Design with a specialization in Graphic Design. His work is highly influenced by both urban and coastal counter-culture movements. His artistic style attempts to interpret reality through an alternative, yet comprehensive lens and to reflect it in videos, animations and drawings that encourage viewers to reconsider what’s typically presented to them as common truth. Mau’s illustrations and animations have been featured in several independent and commercial short films, as background visuals for concerts, magazines, art festivals and group exhibitions. Mau is currently working as a freelance animation director and illustrator.
