I’m using CS5 – but exactly the same process as you’ve described there.
What about when you first open the jpg with Photoshop? What option do you select for the assigning a profile?

I’m using Motion 5, but that shouldn’t matter.
What version of photoshop are you using to export the psd?

Yep, I know it looks fine when you convert it to RGB in Photoshop. That’s not the problem.
The problem, is when you import it into Motion. It completely knackers the quality, and I can’t work out why.
Can’t think that it would be a graphics card issue because it’s never been a problem before….. ?

Tried that, and it shreds the quality when I import it into Motion.
If you can try it yourself, then let me know whether it does the same for you.

    Very grateful for the help

Sorry Stephen, I should have explained.
The problem stems from importing that jpg into Photoshop, editing it, saving it as a .psd and then trying to work with it in Motion

    Hi Stephen
Not sure what the problem is.
I’ve uploaded an image of the profile assignment message that appears.

I’ve been playing again this morning, and adjusted the image mode to an RGB profile from within the photoshop workspace (rather than when opening it), carried out the edit I wanted, re-saved, and re-imported to Motion.
This time, it’s appeared BUT, it’s absolutely shredded the image quality! It’s rough as hell.

    ……….????
