Thanks for the idea, David. Unfortunately, these are going to be displayed on LCD screens so freezing the input to a projector isn’t an option.

I wonder if there is some sort of “black box” widget that can be inserted inline of an HD/SDI or HDMI signal and freeze the signal going to the display?

I’ll be feeding it with HDMI from a BMD Ultrastudio Mini. I’d like to keep the display under $300.

Are you using the printer as a standalone printer or with an autoloader?

If you are using QuickDisk you can setup a text field and have it auto-advance each time it prints the label. Let me know if you need specific details about how to set it up.

Ok, got it figured out. You have a Paragraph Style applied to all of your text, even though each text box modifies that style. If you open your Paragraph Styles pallet you should see a style called Ty Ford 1+. The “+” indicates that the original style has been modified. Double click that and you should get a window with the Paragraph Style Options. In the left hand column click the option for Paragraph Rules and then uncheck the box for “Rule Above.” That’s where your mystery “underline” is coming from.

Can you send me your .indd file? I don’t need any of the links. I’m just curious to look at the text in the file. matt (at) mstproductions dot com.

It doesn’t look like any of the underlining from smart text, but it’s been a while since I’ve used CS3, so im not sure if there are other things that could be causing it that have changed in 4-6.

What happens when you print or export to PDF? Is it underlined there?

My company offers DVD duplication with full color, thermal printing directly on the surface of the disc. It’s a glossy, water proof and smudge proof print that’s similar to a semi-glossy magazine page. We can do 1 or 80 and turn them around in a day or two. I have used a few different ones including the LaCie and a few older LG models. I had nothing but problems with the LaCie, but your mileage may vary.

My current drive is the LG BE12LU38. I use it several times a week and have been very pleased with it. I have used it with Toast 10 and most recently, Toast 11. Works great.
