I’ve tried that. But animating the camera, unless I’m missing something, moves everything visible. So when I do that, even the mask box moves. If I tell the camera to move left or up or what have you, it moves everything and defeats the purpose. I thought it would be as simple as animating the camera.

You rock. Thanks for all of the help. It seems like that’s the way to go. Under my layers though, I don’t have “Camera”. Any thoughts on why that might be?

Your answer is still in Motion: go back to the Motion project and animate the actual CAMERA, following the head of the line as it moves over the map. The result will look more or less like a GPS tracking display that scrolls the map with the path
Hi Mark. I’m sorry, I’m not extremely familiar with the terminology using Motion- how do I animate the camera/what IS animating the camera?

I have the program as part of my package, and I’ve used it sparingly in previous projects, but I’m far from an expert. Any suggestions on how to use Motion then or perhaps a tutorial that exists? I think part of my problem is I’m not using the correct terminology when doing google searches to try to answer this without being a pest to forums like this.
