  • Thanks Shane,

Have been going through compressor as I want to carry on using FCP as it’s transcoding, media managing it would mean FCP being in use. But thanks for the info. Shame MM can’t run in the background like compressor does.

I’ll probably continue with compressor and add the Reel info to the clip through FCP.

Greg, this is probably too late, but may be of interest to others

I just tried this out and at first I got that error. You need to install the XML tools for it to work.

Thanks for this info Jean-Christophe, I will have a look at this over the weekend. Sounds like the answer I was after.

    Thanks

Yeah, I’ve got that sony browser, but was wondering if there’s a way to actually unwrap it, so you can see if FCP which audio stems are in each track (as there are specific channels for different parts of the audio i.e ch1 international sound, c2 music and fx etc).

I tried a couple of 720p exports using compressor, but it took in excess of three hours! to export an 8 minute video.

I must admit i’ve never really used compressor before, is it usually this slow.

I’ve done a couple of tests this afternoon, exporting as a final cut ProRes 720 quicktime, then compressing to h264 in streamclip it’s it’s nigh on impossible to tell the difference between the compressor version and the streamclip version.

  • Sorted, many thanks

This is an interesting question. Some of the harsh answers are not called for.

I need to add a perspective filter to every clip in the browser. 400 clips. he were shot upside down and need flipping.

I guess I’ll have to use the timeline option.
