    Hello.. I have 1.5GB ram… I tried what you suggested. Actually I just ran the installer disc that came with my G5 and installed 10.3.5 and tested.. now it works.. So I guess your presumptions were correct.. All is well now…

    I sure wish Apple hadn’t crippled the G5 by only allowing one extra internal drive….

    I tried the things Matthew suggested… to no avail…

    Jeremy I am reinstalling the OS right now, will see if that helps… Is a single media only SATA drive fast enough? I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be but??? It is a maxtor 7200rpm 8mb cache drive…
