Oh well. Thankfully I had made backups for most of the drive’s contents.

BTW, at my end, the mxf files open in Quicktime Player and VLC. They play for seemingly the right amount of time per clip, but it all looks like the varying frames of the screen grab I previously uploaded.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I was looking into this program, and I think I came across a $500 price tag…is this the same thing you’re talking about?

And is there a way to know if using it will definitely work?

I should add that opening up MXF files from other working drives plays fine in Quicktime…does this mean that the recovered files are permanently corrupt/damaged?
