Grin, I don’t have AE – that’s why I’m not using it. I kind of wish though.

And you can right click a clip in a BIN and pick Reveal File, and that will give you the weird OMFI directly.

Funny thing is I used to be really good with Marquee, way back when it used to be called Asymetrix 3DF/X. But it had a hell of a lot more flexibility back then.

But my original question still stands. Someone’s gotta be able to crack this…

Ok Grin,
here’s a question for you. How do I find out what the properties are for an AVID clip. I want to pick one of those weird named OMF files that Avid imported, and find out if it’s OMF 1.0 or 2.0, if it’s 2:1 or 3:1 or 10:1, audio embedded or not, and all of that stuff.

Any way to find that out?

I get what you’re saying. But right now Marquee is all I got. And I just want to get a Video file into it for a surface.

Yesterday a guy told me how to render OMF files from Avid to bring in to Marquee, but I made 6 different OMF files with different settings and not one of them would import into Marquee. I know it can be done, I just can’t figure out HOW!

The only videofile I can bring in to Marquee is a few OMF files that I have on my Hard drive from some early captures and I don’t know how to find out what their compression settings are in order to duplicate them to export new ones.

Collective genius required. Any takers on this one?
