you know what i just went down to see if i could do it on my computer, i’ve actually never tried to export just audio but i have done frame rate conversions that include both audio and video using compressor, but i guess you can’t do it with audio only. i’m sorry i couldn’t be more help. do you have final cut studio? the next program i would try would be soundtrack pro. i’m sure that when you export from that program you can change the frame rate. i know you can do it in pro tools, but i don’t know how to use that program. and sorry again, i thought i had a real simple solution for you.

Thanks Guys… I have a follow up question, or two.

Can I master out the Beta SP footage I ingest to DVCPro 24p using a 1200 deck and my Kona card? Or do I have to take it to my locale duplication/conversion outfit like I was planning on doing and have it run through their Teranex box to do the conversion?

try exporting the audio only out of FCP using compressor. you can change the final encoding of the audio to conform to 23.98 fps. you can change the exported files frame rate in the inspector window under ecoder in the audio tab. if the audio file says 30 fps, it’s been recorded at the wrong frame rate.
