It is stored on a shared media server connected via ethernet. Everything plays fine before I speed anything up but continues to have problems even if I delete the sped up clip.
I’m also wondering why this would happen in the first place. Since I exported the clip and brought it in as entirely new piece of footage why would it affect things different than bringing in any random piece of footage? And why does it affect my entire project?
Close the project and reopen it. When it comes up with the missing files dialogue reconnect one file and it should automatically reconnect all of the clips in the same location for you.
I actually found a previous version of the FCP project so while I will have to re-color correct and re-edit some stuff at least it’s a time feasible workaround.
I never really found out why this was happening but found a work around. When I export it to a QT, then run it through Compressor to a ProRes 422 it looks fine. No idea why but it works.
Yes, I’ve tried resetting the field dominance to “None” but it doesn’t help. Any idea why it might come in as “Upper” even though I export it as “None”?
