Okay, so I just remembered that the Focus Enhancements FS-100 is a FAT 32 drive and makes a new clip when your file reaches 2 gigs. So is there a way to get Avid Express or Media Composer to combine all of these 2 gig clips back into a single clip in the bin???

Actually, I really think that’s exactly what I’m feeling. The guy I hired to run the HVX-200 on the shoot pointed the vibration out to me and I had never noticed it before so it sort of made me nervous. I’ve reviewed the footage and it all looks great. I tend to get paranoid when it comes to one of my money makers being on the fritz. This would be a really bad time to be down a camera. I checked it WITHOUT a tape and there was no vibration at all.
Thanks for your suggestion!

Well that’s just it, you can’t see it but if you put your hand on the lens hood you can barely feel it. Sort of like putting your hand on a power supply. To be honest, I don’t think I checked the OIS. Let me check that and get back to you. I know that can cause problems if you’re on a tripod.
Thanks

Hey Brian,
I’ve been able to find the hidden menu and I see the “pixel compen” option but the camera won’t let me choose it. It scrolls past it. Any thoughts????????????????

Hey Does this procedure work for the GY-110 also? I just got back from a shoot and noticed three dead pixels… out of nowhere.

Thanks! That’s a big help.

Hi Aanarav,
Thanks for attempting to help.
a) Are you capturing within Premiere Pro?
Yes
b) Do you have any other hardware or software that interacts with Premiere Pro (Cineform or Matrox?)
No
c) What are your project settings?
I’m capturing at 720P with a frame rate of 24 FPS (23.97)– 16:9 aspect ratio and HDV
Thanks again for trying to help. This is driving me crazy.

That’s probably what I’ll have to do… at least for the short term because I have to have something ready in a few short weeks… however, I’m the type of person that will become obsessed with a problem and spend hours and hours, weeks even trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong— it’s a curse. Did I mention that the same problem does not occur with footage shot and transcoded at HDV 720P?
Thanks fr all of your helpful suggestions. If you think of anything else, let me know.
