I am so sorry you went through that. Was that the first project that you were trying to get produced through Discovery?

Did you ever get your project going?

I tell you what, I just feel defeated as far as networking with these people, not just Discovery but anyone who has experience in getting a show or series on the the air whether it’s network or cable. Oh sure,you can pay to get the knowledge. Why does it have to be so difficult. It just makes it so hard for someone who is passionate about what they do and they just want to move further ahead in their career and try to succeed! If I had the knowledge and hands on experience, I would want to help someone get ahead if they were sincere about it. Not everything is about money and prestige it’s about doing what you love! Maybe I just haven’t hit on the right blog or website yet but grrrrrrrr!

Hi Tom,

Hopefully you have the adapter that clips onto the battery port? The other end of that plugs into the charger and will power the camera.

I don’t have this part, sorry I wasn’t more specific. I was hoping there was another, less expensive, way to power the camera via the 7.9V DC input jack in the battery compartment.

He didn’t have the original box. I have contacted the seller and he asked that I send a pic of the model number on the camera. I contacted Panasonic but who knows when they will get back to me.

So what do you suggest I do to verify that I may not have been sold the camera that was advertised? Check with Panasonic first and check the serial number?

In the recording set up it gives me all of the rates 24,30 and 60

All very thorough, overwhelming, and appreciated insight. Goes with the territory of learning how to become something that is out of the comfort zone. I’ve had the luxury of working for an organization that has sales folks (non-profit world). Now it’s my turn to really stretch myself and get my head organized as a marketer.

I believe the content of my show idea, based on just searching around for similar shows, is very timely (nothing out there at this juncture) for many reasons, but mostly because the popularity of it is increasing and someone else just might make it happen sooner than later. I want to be the first to do it sooner!
