Guys,

I have just purchased the Sonnet Tempo SATA 6GB dual expresscard and I am having significant issues.

I would like to use it as an interface to upload from a Sound Devices PIX240 caddy in order to backup data from the SSD to a FW800 drive.

I can get the expresscard to be “seen”, but cannot get it to mount the SSD drive. The “SATA Controller” menu item in the menu bar is grey and I am unable to access anything about the card.

I believe I have updated the appropriate drivers – although I understand that 10.7.3 should no longer require drivers.

Is it possible that it is this USB “chipset” thing I have read about

Any assistance gratefully received.
