The only old edited footage that I have been asked for was from parents who lost the DVD of the Dance Show. I refer them to the Dance School for purchase. But that has been very rare. After 28 years doing video, I have too much stuff. Anyone want a Panny S-VHS 450 (or was that a 350?).

Thanks Jeff. I have known videographers who have many HDs with footage on them. I guess I like to keep too much stuff. Got start cleaning up.

So you would encode in Encore as opposed to Premiere. I have read that encoding in Encore is not as good as Premiere.
So correct me if I am not correct, you would render the files in premiere and then send the file to Encore not encoded for mpeg-2. What format you you export and how would you encode to mpeg-2 (i.e. Adobe Media Encoder?).
My workflow is usually to render the timeline in Premiere then encode to mpeg-2 changing the bitrate to keep the total file size around 4.2GB to account for very simple Photoshop menus and total DVD file size around 4.5GB.
Previously, I would simply make a 2 DVD set. Just trying to keep time and cost down.

Thanks for the response. The point is how can you correct the bad audio in an existing Sequence with restarting the Sequence or Project. In FCP it was a simple matter of cut and paste. Takes less then a minute.
I was directed to an Audio filter that when applied to an isolated section of the stereo channel it defaults both audio tracks to either left or right. Similar to FCP but not as smooth in audio quality.

Well both lights did a great job. The Newer160 (Also I think it is the Cowboy light as well) The 160 is sturdier then the Bescor. Both lights threw out ample light in a reception hall. One set of AA batteries in each light ran them with no problem for about 3-4 hrs each with no reload. What a great change from my old Bescor light and shoulder battery.

Used the CN160 and the Bescor 125W. Both of them did very well. Shot an entire 6 hour reception on just one set of batteries for each light. No heavy shoulder batteries any more. The 160 matched with my Panny AC130 was excellent.

Bought the 160 and the Bigger Bescor (125W ). Both are a bit flimsy. They are lighter then my old lights and no shoulder battery involved either. I will see how ell they work out.

I decided on 2 lights the Newer 160 and a low end Besor light. Will try them out this weekend at a wedding. At least I don’t have to lug around a shoulder battery.

Thanks for the suggestions. Does anyone have any experience with the
Bescor LED-70 Dimmable 70W Video & DSLR Light?“Memories of today, Recorded for tomorrow.”

Hi Bill,
An update on my camera inquiry. I have shot numerous stage productions, dance shows and a wedding ceremony. Overall I am satisfied with the Panny AC130. The zoom lens blows the PD150 away. The clarity of the video and lighting control with manual iris is much better then the PD. However still having some problems with lighting and now need a portable light. also, the battery life is much shorter. I don’t understand how a company like Panasonic who manufactures batteries cannot make a battery that would run this camera for over 4 hours. Not having to change tapes was very nice.
