Ah, another good work around! Yes, tedious to do between each stroke – but definitely allows me the capability to control line thickness with my tablet

Very helpful! Thank you! I should have specified that I was wondering if there was a way to do this while using a tablet so I could continue to control the line width, but this is a great workaround otherwise!

h.264 is considered ‘legacy’? But it compresses so well! Are there other similar codecs? h.264 was always my go-to!

Hm— thanks for all the input and information, all. Something told me that using “Pedestal” should be a last-ditch effort while keying — it’s just that pushing it up tends to work SO well and I barely see any loss. I’ll play around.

Simon, I was referring to Premiere’s Ultra-Key. When you say I should use a better keyer, what do you specifically have in mind?

This is what I would do —

Move the original AE project away from wherever you have it saved. Duplicate that project file, make all your changes, then either place the new project file with the same name back to the destination where Premiere is looking for it, or open Premiere and when it asks you to link all of the missing media, link it to the new project file. As long as all of your Comp names are the same, it should automatically link to all of your new work while keeping all of the edits you made while in Premiere.
