(I’m using FCPX)
Whilst it’s not possible to only export the clips you’ve already selected and cropped in your project, it is possible to export all and only the original clips used in that project without having to go back through the events from which you choose the clips in the first place…
Duplicate your project and select it…
Then remove all transitions, etc, by using the Timeline Index, which you can toggle by clicking on the button in the very bottom-left corner, (make sure you’ve selected the filter: All; then search for e.g. ‘cross’ to then select all cross-dissolves and delete.
Then from ‘File’ drop down menu choose ‘Copy Project to Library…’
Then, after you’ve copied it to library of your choice FCP will automatically consolidate the clips used in the project by creating a new event…
Then, select a clip from the new Event and click on ‘Reveal in Finder’
All of the clips used are stored in the folder ‘Original Media’ for you to use/share as you please!
Saved me bags of time in spite of not being able to export the cropped clips!
