Using Media Encoder to capture a still frame is an odd feature and not very elegant. Most users intuitively expect to find frame capture in a menu option or keyboard shortcut. The frame hold is a close option and works very well but it only works on the clip selected not the composited frame in the timeline.

I do not mind keeping Encore 2.0 on standby for legacy projects. The gotcha is I would like to export the subtitle tracks to use in other applications. I truly admonish Adobe for this bug.

Yes, I have tried “save as” in CS4 without success. I have tried to delete the subtitle tracks. The problem is CS4 crashes when I even so much as select a subtitle track. It crashes before I can delete.

Our 2.0 projects have subtitle tracks. Encore CS4 crashes almost instantly when I click to load a subtitle track. Additionally CS4 crashes when playing the timeline and clicking chapter advance buttons.

We are using the latest and I believe last build of Encore 2. Build 48678

I am having version upgrade issues as well. I am disappointed that Adobe neglected to ensure older projects can open and be edited in Encore CS4.
