I have experienced the exact same thing – really makes a customer mad when their identity (read: logo for some) that they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars for (millions in some cases) – fades in color.
I actually have this issue with many transcodes in FCS (Compressor, FCP, Motion) – and not sure why.
Also not sure why this (seemingly common issue) isn’t getting more responses.*shrug*
