It isn’t the plug ins. What I ended up doing based on an email from a buddy of mine was to create a new user log in and try launching it from there. Strangely that did it. Project opens corrects and everything’s up and running. Sure, I spent 5 hours today getting all my programs set up in the new login, but I was able to work.

I tried that, same effect. It’s only for one project on one specific computer. All the other projects work just fine.

Also, when I take the project to another machine it work, no problem. It has to be something specific to this machine. And I’ve cleared half a dozen times – no difference.

That did it. Wow. I would never have thought to make the primary 525. After all, the primary format (from the tape) is 1080! I guess the way my brain works is that you have to identify the incoming stream and then tell it to convert to whatever you need. Obviously not how the Kona works.

    Thanks for the help Jeremy.

I have the easy setup set at 525 and the downconvert set up for letterbox. it’s strange. I just won’t let me do it.

My source says 1080, the frame buffer say 1080, the down convert says 525, then the SDI 1 output says 525. The primary is set to 1080 and the secondary to 525.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
