Hi John,
I created two youtube videos so you can see the difference between Blend and Interpolate deinterlace methods. To my eye it seems as if the Interpolate method produces a sharper video with no real noticeable quality reduction. Blend seems to create quite a bit of motion blur so it simply looks less sharp. Please let me know what you think. Also, what do you think about the quality of these videos – do you see any of the frame skipping I mentioned?
