Having worked on the audio how do you then get it back into the project in FCPX? Is it a fairly straightforward exercise?

I went yesterday and had a great time getting there.
I took the river bus and then the Emirates Cable Car over the Thames to the Excel Centre. The Cable car is great experience if slightly scary when in the middle and its swaying in the wind.
The Exhibition seemed smaller than usual with less stands and less stuff on the stands that were there. Felt to me like it was a recession show but I made contact with Miller Tripod people to give them feedback on the Solo Tripod with Compass head I bought last year and said hello to the leasing company who have helped our business recently.
What I had wanted to attend was the presentation by Philip Bloom, showing 4k footage, but I got there too late. I did say hello to him briefly on the Canon stand but couldn’t think of anything riverting to say to him apart from thanking him for all his tutorials and product reviews.
The only presentation I saw a bit of was an Adobe one with Simon Walker.
So for me the highlight was the journey and watching the sunset as I travelled back over the Thames.

Saw the programme and totally forgot it was edited on FCPX – which is the way it should be. Great Show. I missed out on South Park and this has made me want to start watching it.

Yes I’d probably agree with that statement, I’ve never had much luck with Apple displays.
But it is a very attractive machine.
And very fast.

In order to avoid problems Mike Fernanandes spreads his FCPX jobs over 3 drives. 1. For FCPX 2. for all his Events and 3. for his media.
I’ve not tried this workflow yet but he claims it really speeds things up.

Yeah that was good but the only song that has stood the test of time is ‘She’s a Rainbow’. Brian Jones used to live nearby in AA Milne’s old house . . . until he took his final swim. The house is up for sale at the moment and not shifting, partly because weird people turn up at all times of night and day to visit the shrine. When the pool was re-tiled a while ago the old tiles ended up on ebay.

Being inspired by one product to create an alternate one in the same area is often the way it works in music and the arts. Paul McCartney was inspired by Pet Sounds and that led to Sgt Pepper. (Which led to the Stones most abysmal album Their Satanic Majesties Request)
But slightly altering an existing product and simply re-branding it is theft. And probably quite lucrative as well. With the standard FCPXPlugin at $49 you only need to sell 500 units to make $12,250. Multiply that by 10 other products and you have got a nice little business with very low overheads and staffing costs.
But then you get lazy and forget to cover your tracks like a recent mugger arrested by police following his footsteps in the snow.
And it must be very difficult to get legal with another international internet business so probably the best outcome that Symon Masiak can hope for is that once the people who have ripped off his products have been outed and shamed they will desist.
The other way is for everybody to totally boycott the offending company. Word spreads very fast and this could be highly effective.
