Hello Rafael,
yes I did as you said:
– In Encoder, change DVCPro50 by Prores HQ.
– Set “Control Frame: ON”.
– Set Resize filter: Best.
– Output fields: Same as source.
– Retiming: I would make e test with BETTER (instead of best).

and than the MPEG with Field Dominance is set to bottom first

I do not know how the video ended up with stripes all over. Something with the field did not go right.

I only have the compressor
My question is: is it possible to convert PAl to NTSC with Compressor. Does it realy works.
I have transformed my dvcpro50PAL to dvcpro50NTSC but I have the impretion that everything flics.

I have done the testes like you wrote, but the video ended up all stripes.
How cam I fix is?

Rafael, thankyou for the feedback.
What if a take my dvcpro50 PAL timeline and export, using compressor, to a dvcpro50 NTSC or to DV NTSCanamorfic.
Would it be ok? Would the soud be on sinc ?

OK, I know the quality would go very bad, but It is so urgent , and the main question is to play it on an ntsc dvd player with out jumping.

Hi Nick,
I am editing with 3 formats together .
The canon5D H264 mov , DVCPROHD 720 30p and HDV 1080 60i. I wil output the final edit into a DVD and keep an QT with the best resolution possible.
What timeline should I edit on? DVCPROHD 720 30p or HDV 1080 60i ?
Should I transform the final edit into a ProRes? Or should I transform everything into this ProRes before editing starts.
Sory but I have not used the ProRes yet.

Thankyou for the atention, Neil.
I hardly work with the Compressor, I use it only to output.
I usualy capture every format directly to the FCP. And I do not know what is this ProRes. Is it just a format like AVI and MOV? Should I take all my 12 hours to the compressor, transform it into a ProResHQ and than import and edit at the FCP? Can I keep the original timecode?
Sory but I am still a little confused.

I am also editing with 2 other formats together with de canon H264 mov : DVCPROHD 720 30p a HDV 1080 60i. Should I transform everything into the ProRes before editing?
