Hi.
I did not use internal sensor as it is not accurate that level you would like.
I got one of those:
https://www.lightillusion.com/i1_display_pro.html
LS was the Full LightSpace CMS
You can find it here:
https://www.lightillusion.com/place_order.html
And monitor is this one:
https://www.eizo.com/global/products/coloredge/cg246/index.html
Please note that this monitor has only DVI, HDMI and Display port in.
I use it with DeckLink 4K over HDMI.

Now i have seen numbers of 99% from rec709 which is pretty good for the price. I’m really exited.
In one of my clients suite there is Penta monitor and it gives me 98 to 99 % and with SDI in of course
but with a lot of different price tag.I also have to say that about 4000 sample profiling takes about an hour in my setup which in my mind
is mind blowing fast.Resolve and LS cooperation is fluid and work like a dream.
I have to be specially thankful to Steve from LightSpace to help me out with a million questions
i had in the way to get it working as intended. This seems to me really accurate poor mans monitoring solution that i piked up from Steves post
in some other forum.—

Ok. The beauty for me was that Resolve signal path was not interrupted even for calibration.
And monitor has the LUT capability so lut can be loaded directly to it leaving separate LUT box out.

no separate lut box as this monitor has internal lut ability.
You just upload lut to monitor and voila.

But then see what is the resolution on your project?
When i see my test in HD 1080p i’m not as impressed as i would think of i would have.

Did some testing and it seems that 96 to 97 % accuracy with rec 709 is doable at least with my unit.
I have Eizo connected to the Deck Link 4K via hdmi.
Will test some more.

I did remod version of the v9 candle test with new file from current installer and got something but will not share it yet until it is ok to share screenshots and like.
BTW what was the original resolution for candle test in v9 ?
Been messing around with v9 test and not sure what should it be to get comparable
results. In pal (720*576) resolution as the parrot video is i got something like that:
4 – 24
8 – 24
16 -24
32 – 18
64 -10all nr 24
If in stretched Full hd the result is not as far as nice.
Not even sure if i would have to configure something in software (GTX780 pc in my machine now.)

I’m playing with Eizo Color series monitor now with Light Space CMS.
Exiting about it is that resolve V10 can be managed by Light Space so you can calibrate
the full video path and know exactly if you nailed it or not. I’m running v10 beta now
and tested the feature yesterday. If it works out it may be the poor mans solution for monitoring.
I agree on that common desktop monitors do not cut it usually specially after you have been
behind Penta or Fsi etc.—

Yes i was thinking about it as large material could bog down under io speed etc.
I have some Arri ProRez material at hand but i have to check about the rights.
In the sense overall performance maybe will be interesting in some point
but that may kill GPU speed focus a bit.At the moment i do not have much “good” material at hand to test out my new GPU
and this got me thinking.—

August 31, 2013 at 3:31 pm in reply to: Resolve 9 Lite- Slow Render with Quadro 4000. OSX4000 is not very fast gpu by todays standards.
I use one for GUI not for gpu.
New gtx cards are much faster but you have to be aware that some may need external power.
Dig a round the forum here and you see what people are using and what are the expectations for
different modes.—
