  • Hi Max,

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues with Stabilizer. Can you please double-check which version of Stabilizer you are using? You should be able to find this by opening the Stabilizer controls and clicking on the ” i ” button.

Also, what is the format / frame rate of the videos that you are stabilizing? Is your timeline set to the same settings?

In case anyone hasn’t seen them yet, Jack Dale has been putting together a great series of video tutorials on using Titler Pro 7 in Vegas:

He also addresses the workflow changes in Titler Pro 7 compared to previous versions, so this should be a great starting point for anyone just getting into version 7.

  • Hi Don,

I realize this is a very late reply, but I do want to apologize for the experience you had with Titler Pro 6 in Resolve. We at NewBlue have been focusing much more on our compatibility with Resolve and our latest version of Titler Pro 7 provides a much better experience.

[Graham Bernard] “IMHO the seriously backward step taken in NBTP7 in terms of the Saving Paradigm has been fraught-ful. Very sad…..”

I do understand that it’s a big change. Part of the reason for having users save the title files to their hard drive instead of as part of the Vegas project is to give them more control over the cache files that are generated by Titler Pro, which were previously all saved in a single Temp directory.

I really do want to understand how the changes in Titler Pro 7 have impacted your workflow specifically. How were you using Titler Pro in previous versions? For example, were you creating a title, then duplicating that in your Vegas project to create each successive title?

[Graham Bernard] “Yes. I’ve read and re-read the advise and it is simply miles away from how this was achieved previously.”

I do want you to know that we are working to make the workflow changes in Titler Pro 7 more user friendly. We’re finishing up a feature that will make it much easier to use previous Titler Pro projects in version 7, where you’ll have the option to convert and save all the titles in your Vegas project at once.

If you have the time, can you please tell me more specifically about the issues Titler Pro 7 is causing for you? Has needing to save each title externally caused problems for your workflow?

[Graham Bernard] “But now in NBTP7 the saving procedure is, IMHO, a total fandanglement – it’s a mess and has stopped me from continuing using NBTP7”

I just want to make sure I understand – are you talking about saving in general in Titler Pro 7? Or the process when you open a project that has titles created with a previous version of Titler Pro?

[Graham Bernard] “Also, why is there no KeyFrame Navigation on the Timeline?”

Well, when keyframing is turned on you can click on a keyframe on your timeline to go right to it, or you can see a complete list of your keyframes on the Global tab and jump to anyone you want to. Is this the kind of thing you’re looking for, or do you have something else in mind?

[Dimitrios Papadimitriou] ” I’ve used newbluefx for quite a while. Would love more transitions like flow. Vegas is very weak in the transition department and would be great to have more that resemble ones found for the adobe suite.”

    Hi Dimitrios,

It’s great to hear from a longtime user! You’re right, it has been awhile since we’ve released any new transitions. I’ll pass the suggestion along to our development team.

[Graham Bernard] “So we shouldn’t ask questions related to NB Products that aren’t specific to the OFX Plugs for VegasPro? Is that correct? I’m real glad you are here.”

I think that’s a good starting point. You mentioned that you had some questions, what can I help you with?

[Graham Bernard] “Hi Marcus! Well this is novel indeed. How do you see this working? I’ve got plenty of questions for the NewBlue Staffers.

So, what format do you want us to ask questions?

I guess just go ahead and ask here. Just please don’t overwhelm me too much at first 😉
