    There is any number of softwares you can use to assemble the images into a .mov to than finish editing it in FCPX. One of the best is LRTimelapse, when used in combination with Lightroom is really powerful. But you can use Quicktime or any other time-lapse specific software.

    I’ M more and more convinced that refurbished is the way to go!

    It totally make sense of course, my typical workflow would allow me to sacrifice rendering/exporting time as I typically use very little effects/transitions/etc and can afford to let the computer render and than export at the very end of the project…

    But, would the little ones offer some fluid editing when using proxies on 15 -20 minutes projects?

    If I only had a decent budget.. but can’t sell the iMac to go fully portable yet… 😉
