There are various scenes/shots/environments (consequently camera settings) on this particular reel. From exteriors to interiors. Multiple lighting scenarios – sunlight, flourescent, etc. The offending footage was shot at (I believe) a slow shutter speed )1/60)to handle the low light levels of this all-flourescent room. The frame rate, I believe, is 29.7 shot with an SD camera (Canon XL1s). At first glance, it looks like the shutter speed is “out of sync” with the lighting’s “pulse rate” on the computer screen running FCP 5 – however, through the camera (or through a monitor hooked up to the tape deck straight) the footage looks fine. Only viewing/capturing the footage is the pulsing noticeable. All other footage/shots on this reel are fine…and again have various setups on them.
