Yep – I get the windows boing when I plug the deck in, and all my Sony cams (D8 and PD170s) work with the cable on multiple firewire ports. The odd thing is that the deck worked fine for weeks, nothing changed, then it started giving me the error I mentioned.

Nevermind. Input select switch on the front of the deck. Doohhhh !!!!!

It seems to be back to normal now. Last night though, whenver I would attempt to use the selection edit tool to grab clips on one track, it would grab clips on all tracks. I’ve never seen it do that before. I thought I had accidentally pushed a button somewhere.
