Didn’t think about that 🙂 so there will be no signal loss using splitter?

That’s why i want avid to feed the signal only to Mini Monitor and then use it’s second output (SDI) and convert the signal back to HDMI (via Micro Converter). Or maybe Micro Converter will be seen as second hardware IO?

Thanks for response Oliver. The timelines match perfectly. I did render the clips lengths with tiny handles (4 frames). Only several clips on his timeline have this “danger lines” and it seems to random to me to have anything to do with handles. He didn’t trimmed the clips nor add any transitions. Of course he trimmed the problematic clips to lose the diagonal lines and then it all matched perfectly. But still we don’t know what actually cause the problem.

Ok I get it. In my workflow I edit in avid and do color correction in Baselight plugin. So as far as I know I need to at least link the original media into the sequence before I do my grading. That’s why (I’m not sure about it) I need to import/link/transcode media after all, but preserving the data that I will need to make my color transformation inside Baselight.

Thank you Pat. So in order to preserve all the original camera data (given that all the colour transformation I want to do in Baselight) I shouldn’t apply any color adapters while importing or transcoding in Avid?

Ok, I get it now. So I’m going to use Scopebox with macmini. What i/o device do I need to get refference from davinci running on macbook? I assume that for macmini I could use any extetnal monitor?

    Thank you Shane.
First of all, I don’t find your answer to be mean, I find it informative and precise. I understand the limitations of my setup, but to be honest with you, I became more interested how it is all works in theory than how to meet the specs. More or less, I know how the viewing setup should looks like. But I also have some questions.
    1. Let’s assume for a moment that I have all the right equipment listed. Do I need an external waveform monitor and vectorscope or the calibrated broadcast monitor built-in scopes will do the trick?
    2. I’m also curious about this gamma differences. I forget to mention that I use Davinci Resolve to CC my footage. In this scenario I import rec.709 2.4 gamma video to Davinci. Since my external monitor only uses sRGB color space I set the project settings to rec.709 2.2 gamma. After CC I export but using rec.709 2.4 gamma profile. Please tell my how much will it affect final brightness of the image comparing to the source footage.
