After you see video playing on you camera, press REFRESH button on the capture window (top left corner by prefereces)
And you will see the video on the capture window then press capture button

I work doing wedding and any kind of party
I use fx7 and v1u to record and sony vegas pro
9 to capture, i had the same problem but now i know how.

When you connect the camera and the computer reconize it, open sony vegas and i know it wont show the video on sony vegas when you press play but here is the trick.
When you press play, and as soon as you see playin the video on your camera, you have to press yhe REFRESH button on your capture window then it will show the video then you can press the capture button to start capturin all your HD data.

Yeah is odd but it works for me
