I turn to the histogram to double-check the color variation because it’s noticable on the screen.
About the possible render compression being the cause I discarded it once I re-render the source file directly in Encoder and didn’t affect the color.

That’s why I believe is the color working space in AE or something that I configure wrong in AE.

    Basically:
Source File > AE > Encoder = Render file color change.
Source File > Encoder = Render file with same color.

Wow that is heavy? I really didn’t consider that way..
    About my storage, not really.
The old one have an hdd 7200 RPM and the new one have a ssd (550 mb/s) and a hdd 7200 RPM.
I tried to render the project from both hard drives (the ssd and the hdd) with no difference.

If I can’t solve this I’ll wait till the new version of after effects. They say will improve the preview speed.

About what Hanna says I’m focusing right now to accelerate the Ram preview because that’s what is bothering me now.

I’m testing with two differents project.
The first one is a 45 seconds composition with four 3D pre-rendered 4K layers with alpha channel at 30fps. Three of the layers are in multiply mode.
It takes 13 minutes to render in the new one and almost 11 in the old one.

The second Is a 18 seconds 4K live shoot at 24 fps with an overlayed cgi pre-rendered baseball bate and 7 video compilot blood splashes in multiply and darker mode traked into a wall.
It takes around 9 min in the old one and almost 12 in the new one.

I’m comparing the exact same files in the latest version of After Effects CC 2015 in both.
Clean the chache didn’t do anything.

I ran the same AE projects in both computers.
The frame rate for RAM preview was the same or slightly higher in the old one.
