I had the same problem, it was almost like a ghosting effect that was really shaky only when I exported with smoothcam. It played fine within FCP.

I fixed this by changing the field dominance in my sequence settings from Upper to None. I was using footage converted from MPEG Streamclip, originally from a Canon 7D.
