    Richard,

Thanks so much for this. In fact, I wound up doing the reverse, changing the format from RGB 709 to YCbCr 709 and suddenly I see all the various MXF options I’m looking for in Media Creation. I’m not sure how that works that way but it’s fine by me and I’m happy to be ingesting footage this weekend so I can get my editor going on Monday. You saved my bacon.

I am having the same problem. I’m trying to get access to different DNxHD resolutions in MC 6.5.4 running on Mac OSX 10.7.5. The installer tells me the installation has worked but in my library / quicktime folder, I see no added codecs. And I get no options other than DNxHD 444 350 X MXF in my Avid / Media Creation / Import pop up menu. This would create files that a way too large.

    HELP!

Tudor, great suggestion and thank. Have used your idea for the scarf part and the solid idea for his cheek and pea coat. Lots of mattes to cut.

It looks much better now but still has a sort of jumpy effect at times. I am thinking of putting an adjustment layer on top of this are and blurring it all some. But would love to hear other ideas for solutions on this if anyone has any.

    Added thought:

My thinking is that I would do divide the project accordingly and then use media manager to copy the various projects over to his computer. I would do this by copying the projects 1 at a time to a firewire drive that he’d use and then connect that drive to his computer, put the project in the documents folder and trust that it would see all the footage. The computer I’m working on is a quad intel mac and he is working on a G5. Both of us have FCP 6.01 and OS 10.4.10.
