  • László,
I thought that might be the case so I went into properties and changed it to upper field first, which is how it is recognized in Edius (the native NLE for the codec). But it does not change that interlaced look? I did not if there was a setting to de-interlace the clip that i do not know about.

My current workflow due to this problem is to take the HQX clips into Edius render the clips out to XAVC then take them into Vegas pro color match – then export to ProRez.

I was trying remove the Edius step and go from Vegas to ProRes.
    Thank You

  • Joe , You are funny!
    – I looked at the ffmpeg site! HA! I am a learning videographer and entertainment promoter – not a computer programmer, I did not even understand the web page. ☺
So I will use my adobe encoder and transcode to HDcam and then make sure I do not get that codec again.

Thank You so much for your suggestions.

  • Hi,
I had to ask the client who sent me the file. It is actually a Grass Valley AVI . The client sent me a ” HQX White Paper” and said it should work on a MAC. so I installed the HQX codec from Grass Valley . The file will play in Premiere fine and will play in FCP, but you cannot scrub with the mouse over the clip. So I then tried the optimization/transcode, but it gave me green screen with audio.

“joe” I contacted divergent media they do not convert “AVI”.

    So guys any recommendations?
    Thank You all
    Lisa
