I’m pretty new to the company, this is a relatively old project.

Poking around though I think you might be right. They’ve been off lining at DNX120 through a G-Speed 16tb using a F/W 800 cable.

  • Thats exactly what I was doing while waiting for a reply haha.
Whittling it down to 1 singular problem file that needed to be copied again. 1 out of 20,00 causing so much misery.

cheers though, hopefully others in the future will see this.

Oh no, god no. Never gone about re-naming individual files. Just the folder each reel is kept in. So it’ll be the given folder name / CONTENTS / CLIPS001 etc etc.

Thats the thing, I’m not sure the editor or program know how they wan’t it organised. So I’ve taken all that on in that respect. I’m just trying to make things easier for myself when it comes to conforming. I dunno I should be bothering with entering tape names, and modifying the source.

I don’t think there’s too many odd frame rates. I can cut stuff in manually if needed.

More worried about the mixing MXF and QT stuff. On a timeline.
And organisation / metadata to help conforming after the offline.

If you guys have a workflow that you prefer using maybe you can break it down here. See if I can pull anything from it.

    Cheers.
