Not necessarily. The nice thing about the Animation codec is that it takes just about any resolution at whatever settings you want. It just creates a fairly hefty file. Once in Sorenson you should be able to set the input parameters of the QT clip and export at will.

To be perfectly honest with you, if you’re starting with DV content I can’t see any benefit to exporting to 10-bit uncompressed AVI for further encoding. I know this can be a bit contentious with some people, but I feel you really aren’t gaining any extra quality by upsampling it.
