I have had the same issue.
My thoughts are that when you allow FCPX to decide what codec to use, it goes for 720P or even 1080, when uploading to YouTube.
When you export, convert and upload you are probably in 480?

Im still trying to get the hang of FCPX so I might not be right about this.

Its Aug 29! Still nothing.
Im finding no support for the many issues I am having. Mostly crashes, but also cannot run FCPX now on my MacPro.
Seemed to happen when adding title to beginning of timeline; oops, sorry project. (Btw since when is a timeline a “Project”)
Cleaned out fonts. Still same problem.
Also, when deleting a still and then deleting resulting gap, FCPX crashes – everytime. Why?

Is there anyone that knows how to deal with this?

Preferences? Where are they?

Im really trying to make this work – some of the improvements are great.
Love skimming; speed; drag/drop music, stills etc. AWesome!

Back to the crashes I go!

As ridiculous as this sounds, Apple should have made 1.0 a Beta version, with all the issues I am having.
And Im trying really hard not to bash it, but have been trying to work in X for a week, and currently average 80-100 crashes a day. Fortunately nothing lost but time.
This on a MPro, and a 2010 iMac 27″.
