Thanks Ty. I’m assuming since you are recommending it that there won’t be much if any quality loss doing it this way. And, someone else suggested the same device.

I’m just interested in using my existing gear to record voice tracks. So I have several condenser mics, both self powered and/or phantom powered, and a dynamic mic. Also have the 302 mixer.
I probably could connect it to my macs’ audio in, but I was told that a firewire or usb input would be better. Would it?

There is or was a good tutorial online at dvcreators.net regarding the Sennheiser EW110-G2 system. I have the XH-A1 and although I normally stay away from wireless if possible, I got good results by setting it up the way the video suggests.

You might be more happy if all the lamps put out the same color light. What brand and model full spectrum cfls are you using?
I have Home Depot GE chroma 50 (sunshine) 4′ tubes in my kitchen, and some screw in cfl’s in other fixtures, like in the bathroom. I like the light after using it for awhile, and bought some 90 CRI cfl’s for video use. No complaints about heat and they balance better with light coming in via the windows.

Has anyone used fixtures that allow multiple cfl lamps? Some cfls approach 90 cri and are relatively cheap, your could use minus green if necessary, and because the are standard household sockets, the fixture options are multiple and cheap.

This is an old article by now, but it shows that with After Effects, in two cases the fastest results are had by a Core 2 extreme processor, in other words, 2 cores beat 8 cores.
At the end of 2008, Intel will have another processor that is more like the AMD series, which might make better use of the extra processors. Or not.
