    Hi Andy

Well eventually went back to the office and got the original footage and re-imported/ transported it! Seems I somehow managed to change the name of the file on the actual cards and that’s where all the confusion came in…

    Always learning!
    Thanks for all your assistance,
    Lara

    Hi Andy
Took a little break from it all yesterday…
I have just tried the first suggestion now but it didn’t work and I think the link you gave me is wrong as it told me that it couldn’t find thae page and Sony doesn’t seem to want to allow me to register with them… What exactly am I looking for?
    Thanks,
    Lara

Hi Andy thanks for that but I made a little mistake –
It’s not a BPAV file its XDCAM footage that was transferred onto some flash drives and I then imported it onto my external drive. When I open up the folder up it has CLPR and TAKR folders in it and the CLPR folder has lots of MP4’s in it but they do not open using quicktime and they do not seem to open up in XDCAM Transfer. I have installed the XDCAM Ex log and transfer but I’m not sure if is helping? Any ideas?

When I try to add it into my XDCAM Transfer in order to import it, it adds in the folder but with nothing in it. The only way I have managed to find out if the clips are actually there is by watching them in VLC.

The files are already MP4’s – what or how must I convert them? I cannot seem to find anything that can do this on my XDCAM Transfer tool.
I have already tried launching the tool, selecting the folder and importing it but the folder comes in showing 0 clips…

Hi there. I have version 6.0.4
Is there something that I can download to enable me to see the footage or do I need to capture it all again?

Thanks for that, but that is what I’ve done – when I try importing the BPAV into FCP it gives me a ‘general error’ message and the folder arrives but is empty…

When I go to Finder and open up the BPAV folder there are clips in there – MP4’s and XML’s but I can’t seem to play them either.
