I remember having an issue like this and needing to ‘force’ Element to redraw each frame.

Easiest way to do this is add a really small wiggle expression to either your camera or jet so that each frame is unique.

    For example:

    wiggle(0.01,0.01)

Try increasing the numbers slightly if nothing happens. But don increase them so much that you actually see the object or camera wiggling around (unless you want that effect).

    Hope this helps.

  • Dan,

    Thank you!

Wow, that it exactly what I need, I can’t believe it was so difficult to track down.

    Much appreciated.

  • Thanks Daniel.

I saw that script while looking into techniques and figured that would be the first thing to try. Glad to know it’s the way the go!

  • Hi,

Glad it helps. I would suggest sourcing the higher level files if possible, and retaining the original file structure.

If you can’t source them, at least bring in what you have via Media Browser. Sometimes where a single MTS take has spanned across two clips Premiere will import two files into the project that are the same exactly. Just double check they are they same and you could remove one if it bothered you.

Editing with MTS and movs will be fine, however to make Premiere work as smoothly as possible be sure to set your editing timeline to the format that the majority of the clips are in. For example, if 90% of the media is MOVS then grab one of the mov clips from the project bin and drop it onto the ‘new sequence’ button in you project panel and a new sequence will be created that will be set for optimized editing of MOVS.

Hope that makes sense. Happy editing!

Enter your expression in the desired field such as position, but instead of entering values (such as “wiggle(0.2,1)”, ‘pickwhip’ each of the values to a Slider Control Effect placed on either the same layer or another layer. Usually you’ll have 2 Slider Controls, for Wiggle Rate and Wiggle Intensity.

You’ll end up with something like:

    wiggle([slider 1 name],[slider 2 name])

Mihali Moore has posted a possible solution.

Disable GPU (open CL) rendering in Project Settings.

Thank you Mihali Moore for posting your solution. This is a serious bug and one which is delaying my delivery to the client.

Definitely won’t ever be using the latest releases from now on until they’ve had time to settle (we’re still on CS6 at work and truly thankful for it after this!)

Perhaps something in this simple example is helpful when trying to achieve this effect.

    or perhaps Newton Plug-in:
