Select all the Stereo audio files in your project.

Right click on them and choose “MODIFY > AUDIO CHANNELS”.

In the “Clip Channel Format” box choose “MONO”.

In the “Number of Audio Clips” box, change this to “2”.

    Click ok.

Now when you drag the clips into the timeline, they will be two mono tracks you can pan.

What monitors/setup are you using? The audio outputs are generally +4db instead of the consumer -12db level. I’m not sure from your description if this is what your experiencing.

What monitoring solution are you using? If your going through a mixer, make sure to enable the “Pad” and turn the input gain all the way down.

Again, these are guesses because I don’t know your exact setup.

    Hope that helps.

No responses since August of 2012? Wow.

Anyway, Just curios if your “Set Output” settings in the “System Preferences > Blackmagic Design ” ( under “Other” ) are set to a compatible output format for whatever monitor your using. For example, if its a 3D setting and your using a non 3D monitor, it wont display anything.

Just a thought. Hope that helps.

    Kyran.
