    thanks walter…

hey, one other question: i’m editing a feature shooting on RED later this year. would the above specs be okay for that? they might shoot in 4K and i read that the KONA3 does up to 2K, but then RED is a different animal as it is with referencing the raw data files, etc.

BTW – that nVidia note on the RED forum was speculation from someone…that’s all. but it does seem valid since the new macbook pros are using nVidia, and on PC/Windows you have to use nVidia for both RED and Avid.

    nice on the brady bunch.

okay cool…thanks. i’ve just been doing film or DV projects lately and never tried to do uncompressed HD on a personal system.

    appreciate your help!

    Thanks!

I heard rumor on the RED forum that Apple was going to swing to nVidia and ATI was going to disappear. Is that true or bogus?

Does the AJA KONA 3 help with FX rendering and such or is it just an I/O box?

Final question (sorry): how many streams of HD can I playback with the setup you recommended?
